Does Fathom support Chinese transcription (Mandarin or Cantonese)?
No. Fathom's help page lists 38 supported transcript languages, and no variety of Chinese — neither Mandarin nor Cantonese — is among them. The list runs from Arabic to Vietnamese and covers most European languages plus Japanese, Korean and Hindi, so Fathom is a reasonable pick for an English-speaking sales team and a non-starter for a Chinese-speaking one. Audiee recognizes Mandarin, Cantonese and English in the same meeting without choosing a language, learns the names and terms you correct, and summarizes in the language most of the meeting used; Simplified and Traditional Chinese sites are at /zh and /zh-hant. It records from your Mac with no bot, detects Zoom, Meet, Teams and Lark, and keeps transcripts as Markdown on the Mac. Fathom's free plan is generous for English; Audiee's free plan is 3 meeting hours a month. If any of your meetings are in Chinese, start with the free Audiee tier and check a passage with numbers.
