What counts against the hours?
Meeting recording and voice dictation share the transcription hours — a dictated note uses minutes, not a meeting slot. Reading, searching, asking Audiee questions, the knowledge base, sharing and the MCP server are never metered, on any plan.
What happens when I run out?
Recording stops accepting new meetings until the month resets; everything already captured stays readable and searchable. The usage meter on the Home screen shows where you stand, and you can upgrade from inside the app in two clicks.
Is yearly really cheaper?
Yes: Pro is $180 a year against $228 paid monthly (you save $48, about two and a half months); Ultra is $470 against $588 (you save $118). Switch between monthly and yearly any time from the plan chooser.
How do I pay, and can I cancel?
Payments go through Stripe Checkout in your browser; Audiee never sees your card. Cancel any time from the same place; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free with all your notes intact.
Do I need a card for the free plan?
No. Free is a plan, not a trial: download, sign in with Google or GitHub, and record.
Where does my data live on each plan?
The same place on every plan: transcripts, notes and the knowledge base are Markdown files under ~/.audiee on your Mac. Audio leaves the machine only for transcription and comes back as text; it is not stored on our servers.
