Does Otter.ai support Cantonese?
No. Otter transcribes six languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese (Simplified) — and its help page says it supports spoken Mandarin and hopes to add Cantonese and other dialects in the future. You also choose one language before recording; Otter does not follow a meeting that switches languages, apart from an English-and-French mode. For a Hong Kong team that moves between Cantonese and English inside a sentence, that means garbled passages or a transcript in the wrong script. Audiee recognizes Cantonese, Mandarin and English in the same meeting without a language picker, learns the names and terms you correct, and produces the summary in the meeting's main language. It records from your Mac with no bot, stores transcripts as Markdown files on the Mac, and the free tier includes 3 hours of meetings a month with no per-conversation cap. Record one Cantonese meeting free and read a passage where someone quotes an English figure.
