Does Wave's free plan cover a full meeting?
Barely: Wave's free plan allows 30 minutes of recording per month, so one standard meeting uses it up; Pro is $11.67 per month billed yearly. Wave's pricing page lists the limit, and its Mac app does record microphone and system audio without a bot, which makes it a fair comparison to Audiee on capture. The difference is the allowance and what happens after. Audiee's free plan is 3 meeting hours and 20 meetings a month, with dictation, questions and sharing unlimited, and Pro at $29 raises it to 25 hours. After the transcript, Audiee writes a summary with action items and files the meeting into a knowledge base of Markdown files on your Mac, with people and project pages and answers that cite the source meeting; Mandarin and Cantonese are recognized alongside English, and a local MCP server exposes it all to Claude Code and Cursor. If you have one short call a month, Wave's free tier is enough; for a working week it is not. Record a normal week on Audiee free and read the usage strip.
