Does Audiee send my recordings to the cloud?
Audio leaves your Mac only while it is being transcribed, and nothing is stored on Audiee's servers. During a meeting Audiee streams the audio to a transcription provider and receives text back; the recording is not kept in the cloud and there is no web dashboard holding your meetings. The transcript, the summary, your notes and the knowledge base are written as plain Markdown files under ~/.audiee on your Mac. When you ask Audiee a question or request a summary, the relevant text is sent to a language-model provider and, by contract, is not used for training. The only account data Audiee holds is your email and plan. This is different from bot-based tools such as Otter and Fireflies, which store recordings and transcripts in their cloud, and from fully on-device tools such as MacWhisper, which never send audio anywhere but do not summarize or remember. If your policy forbids any audio leaving the machine, Audiee is not the right tool; if it forbids third parties keeping copies, it is. Read the privacy page, then check the ~/.audiee folder after your first meeting.
