Does Krisp's AI note taker keep transcripts on my computer?
No. Krisp's own FAQ says that when its recording or note-taker features are on it stores audio, recordings and meeting notes on Krisp's servers until you request deletion, and recordings are kept in the cloud; only English transcription can run on the device, and the resulting transcript is still held in Krisp's cloud. Krisp began as a noise-cancelling tool and its note taker inherits that server-side design. Audiee is built the other way: transcript, summary, notes and the knowledge base are Markdown files under ~/.audiee on your Mac, no server keeps a copy, and audio leaves only during transcription and comes back as text. There is no bot on either tool. Audiee adds what a note taker needs after the transcript: action items, a memory across meetings you can ask with citations, English, Mandarin and Cantonese mixed, and a local MCP server for Claude Code and Cursor. A free account records 3 hours of meetings a month. If "on my computer" is the requirement, open the folder and see.
